Teaching Math without speaking

I have two new videos creating the Threes, Sixes and Nines from animated patterns on Tic-Tac-Toe squares. The first video is 4 minutes with directions. It is described in the previous post.

I uploaded a second video version today that just has background music (Schubert - Fantasy in C major) with no directions. I am curious about your response to it. There are a few written guides but no spoken words. It is very right-brained with music and visual patterns. Continue Reading »

Share this with kids, parents and teachers. I believe these videos can help many, many kids learn the times tables in a fun way and promotes a positive attitude about math. I made this video with fun animation and amazing techniques showing how kids can create the Threes, Sixes, and Nines on Tic-Toe-Toe squares. There is also my video on the Sevens on Tic-Tac-Toe squares, with over 15 thousand views. The Threes and Sevens add up to ten to they follow the same patterns by my Rule of Tens, but backwards. Teaching Fun Math to the World

There are now over 43,000 views of MisterNumber videos and growing by 1,000 every 4.5 days. There is a lot of useful teaching there, but I have been holding back. “Don’t give it away!” is the voice. But I am committing to put it all on Youtube and TeacherTube. Watch for many new videos to be uploaded. I realize that I have shown teachers for 90 minutes many of the techniques at Math Conventions and they still buy the book and DVD for the worksheets and are excited. Continue Reading »
