MisterNumbers (author Tom Biesanz) at a Math Teacher Convention

I attended the CMC South Math Convention last week in Palm Springs. Even though most of the math teachers attending taught high school, many of them bought the EZ Times Table book and Right Brain Math DVD. They said many of their students still haven’t mastered the times tables, and they loved the revolutionary and fun approach.

I also was guest teacher at several senior classes at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara last week and the students loved Right Brain Math. Their many comments included:

“Ingenious. Very Amazing and useful.” -James Mazaliano

“I found this very entertaining and fun!! It was confusing at the beginning but once you get the hang of it … it’s a piece of cake!!” -Claudia Godinez

“I like this because I always struggle with math so this really helped.” -Alba Vargas

“This is easier, less frustrating way to learn math times tables and I wish I would have had this when I was younger because it would have helped my math skills a lot.” -Tara Crawford.

“It seems more fun and more interesting. Math has a whole new name to me.” –Ulises Retiquin

“I think it is a way easier way to learn math. Anyone could do it. I’ll probably use it from now on.” –Jose Carachure

I AM SLIGHTLY SURPRISED THAT RIGHT BRAIN MATH IS USEFUL FROM KINDERGARTEN TO 12TH GRADE. Curriculum Review magazine recommends it for K-4th grade and remedial 4-7th grade, but there are current negotiations to teach it through Adult Ed. Many adults could use fun math too!
